Company Background
The
concept for Today's Leadership Coaching was developed in 2000 by Stephen
Fairley who wanted to bring to the Chicago market a high quality
leadership development and executive coaching firm that specialized in
assisting small to medium-sized businesses enhance their leadership
skills, improve the performance of their managers, and increase the
profitability of their company.
Stephen Fairley is a 3-time author, former graduate school psychology
professor, and experienced entrepreneur having previously started
TechMaven, a leadership consulting and training firm in Virginia and
co-founded two high-tech start-up companies here in Chicago, WorldCast
Technologies and Touch Media.
Stephen officially started Today's Leadership Coaching in 2001 by
targeting executives and managers at high-tech companies in the Chicago
area, but with the collapse of the dot.coms and the economic recession
he quickly found he had to broaden the target market into other
industries.
By the summer of 2001, Stephen had asked Tom Horne, a successful
business executive with strong ties to the manufacturing industry here
in Chicago, and William “Biff” Roman, a seasoned small business owner
with 18 years of experience in direct sales, to join the leadership
team.
Today's Leadership Coaching now focuses its time, energy, and
resources to targeting small to medium-sized business in several
different industries including: professional service firms,
manufacturing, banking/financial services, high-tech, consulting, among

Even with this niche focus, the leadership team of Today's Leadership
Coaching has been privileged to coach, consult, train, and counsel with
executives, managers, and leaders from more than 25 Fortune 500
companies including: Bank One, JP Morgan Chase, IBM, Motorola, Unilever,
